This vinyl record represents a deeply personal project where I’ve mapped my emotions and living spaces onto the imaginary landscape of a cove. It’s an exploration of how contrasting elements—serenity and chaos—can coexist in a space that feels both calming and alive.

The centerpiece of the project is a mixtape pressed on a clear cobalt blue vinyl record. Each track was carefully chosen to resonate with the ambiance of overlapping waves, creating a soundscape that echoes the ever-changing tides of Clear Cove Tide. The altered song titles and thoughtful sequencing invite listeners on a journey through different emotional states, much like navigating the shifting waters of the cove itself.

To bring this sonic experience to life visually, I turned to the objects that surround me daily. Using Blender, I recreated everyday items from my room as 3D models and scattered them throughout the Clear Cove Tide landscape. These objects, familiar yet transformed, represent the kind of clutter that fills our lives—ordinary things that carry stories and memories. Choosing to work with personal items gave the project a special depth.

For instance, I included a vintage Kodak camera that was a gift from an old friend, as well as an envelope and camera that once belonged to my father. These and many other objects are subtly integrated into the cover art and the scenes depicted on the postcards, offering a glimpse into the personal connections that shaped this project.

The vinyl is packaged in a custom-designed cover that blends elements of my personal clutter with the peaceful scenery of the cove. Accompanying the record is a set of postcards, each featuring a different scene from Clear Cove Tide. These postcards are like small souvenirs, reminding me of the time spent finding coherence in the chaos of creation. Each one is tied to Cape Cod, Mass, where the fictional cove is set.
